T-BALL!!!!!!!!!

Alex really has taken to baseball since last summer!  He is a pretty good little hitter (Daddy is proud that he bats left handed) and is getting pretty good at throwing.  We have a pretty laid back t-ball program here in Gibson City, so we thought we would let him sign up.  They are 4-6 year olds; the games are 1 hour; they all bat twice each game and there are no outs.  Really, it is about learning some basics like how to throw at something, how to run bases, meet new friends, and have fun!  And the best part is that is is only for 1.5 months (that includes weekly practices in May and 6 games in June)!!!

Today was the first practice.  Let's just say that Alex was ALL SMILES the whole time!!  There are thirteen kids on his team (11 boys; 2 girls). He did a really good job listening to Coach Dan and Daddy even got to help with the practice!

Hanging out with his buddy, Logan (black t-shirt), from preschool

Listening to Coach Dan introduce himself and talk about what they are going to learn

Their version of "Simon Says"--"Team Ready" and every time Coach Dan
says that  they yell back "Ready" and get in their stance!

Throwing towards the bucket
I didn't get to stay for the whole practice, but when he stopped by the church to see me afterwards...he was FULL of stories and was so excited that he ran to 2nd base!!
