We took the kids down to the river behind the house tonight. Since we haven't had much rain, the water was shallow and made for interesting exploring.
The kids' eyes were wide open as they don't get to venture down there hardly ever and for sure never without one of us.
One of my favorite memories was seeing Alex's expression when I told him he could walk in the water and get his shoes all wet...and then to watch as his shoes filled up with the cool water and he shoes went "squish"! I know he was thinking--this is sooo cool!
They found lots of broken clam shells!
