So far this December, the kids and I have been to see the Santa Train. Alex wrote Santa a letter and Brecke was pretty willing (but not overly excited) to sit on the big man's knee.

| Waiting for Santa. We were lucky enough to get a visit from one of his elves. |
| A little brother and sister love waiting in line for Santa. Love it when they hold hands! |
| Doesn't Alex look like he is up to something!? |
| Group picture once we got done touring the train! The kids both loved blowing the horn! |
Other Christmas happenings:
--We have learned we have a "wrapper" in our house. Alex has randomly wrapped many presents. So many that he asked whether we would buy him his own paper if he was good. Periodically he will let Matt and I open a present. To date we have received: some tupperware, a pen case, a picture that usually hangs in our half bath and there are about four more under the trees! :-) Who knows what is in store for us!
| Wrapping one of his masterpieces! |
Some baking has taken place! We have baked gooey butter cookies, spritz and some sugar cookies.
| Rolling the butter cookies in the yummy powdered sugar |
| Baking is dangerous work. Notice the bump/bruise on the forehead? Mom about took him out with the cookie sheet. Didn't lift it high enough to "clear" his head! BANG! Oops! |
Alex's cookies. At least that is what he called them. To me it was more like green slime, but I played along and was supportive ;) |
| Some sugar cookie decorating! Alex was good help! Brecke...well, she tried! She was real good at sampling! |
| He was promoted from the sprinkler and red hot placer...to actual froster! He did a nice job! |
