Time Together

Our absolute favorite time of the year is fall.  For so many reasons, but mostly because harvest is such a special time of year for our family.  Many families are apart during harvest due to the intense workload, but with us, it seems we spend more time together having quality family time in the tractor, the combine or having supper in the field.

Both kids absolutely love the equipment and buckling themselves in the "buddy seat".  For Alex it is a time to graze. Yes...he snacks on the contents of his lunch bucket almost constantly while in the cab.

Brecke says she is "too big" for the machinery--which I think is hilarious since she will probably never be taller than most of the tires on the machines!

Alex has farmed about every rug or "field" we have in the house at least five times!  His stories are intense and long, but I have to admit he has this farming thing down!  He even tells Papa, Grandpa, Russ, and Daddy what they need to be doing.

Here are two of my favorites of our "John Deere Girl"...

Checking out the old corn crib
Getting ready to ride in the combine--can you see it in the distance?

And one of our favorites of our little farmer...  :)
